NOEL THE BEAR – A “CHRISTMAS MIRACLE”

A Journey of Care and Dedication

Noel struggled to nurse from her mother in her earliest days and needed intensive support to survive. The animal care team stepped in to hand-raise her, providing round-the-clock attention - bottle-feeding her, keeping her warm, and closely monitoring her health, much like caring for a human newborn.

As she grew stronger, Noel was gradually introduced to a species-appropriate diet that included fruits, honey, meat, and small insects. She also spent time in the gentle morning sunlight to support her development. Thanks to the team’s dedication and care, the once fragile cub has grown into a healthy, energetic young bear.

Our absolutely adorable little Noel!

A Playful Little Princess

As she grew older, Noel was reintroduced to life with her parents; together they fostered her playful personality which quickly took center stage:

  • Digging through soil and leaves as if searching for hidden treasures
  • Dragging logs around, keeping the keepers busy tidying up
  • Climbing trees with surprising agility
  • Enjoying her hammock lounging under the sun while quietly observing the world

Her curiosity, energy, and expressive nature have made her a favorite among visitors.

El has just woken up—"Who’s calling for me?"

A Story That Warms the Heart

Noel’s story is more than just a happy ending—it’s a testament to the quiet dedication of the animal care team, whose time, patience, and compassion shape every life they nurture. From a tiny, vulnerable cub, Noel has grown into a strong, thriving bear, made possible by consistent care and unwavering love.

Just having a "chill" morning session in her cozy hammock!
